James W. Ray founded Rayco Fence in 1986.

On January 24, 2012, he was a target of armed robbery and became a victim of homicide in Nashville, TN.  Three days after his death. two young-adult black males of Nashville, TN were charged for his murder. Both were charged with first degree murder, felony murder and att. esp. agg. robbery. In 2016, the DA accepted a plea deal of second-degree murder for both males. They were sentenced to 18 years with no parole.  Justice was not given in the court of law.  

James is greatly loved and missed by family. They robbed his family of a wonderful man.
